I'm a surfer baby (leavin' for hawai'i soon!), loves buhnies, gorgeous bedroom interiors, oatmeal (!!), working out, and pancakes (who doesn't!). xx

It’s been so humbling to have been approached a couple of times in the ladies changin’ room @ the gym. From really endearing compliments to asking me for workout tips, it’s just been really humbling :) But more than ever, it makes me crazy motivated with my workouts.

Thing is, especially in Singapore, the fitness community for females is pretty muted. We’ve got the starvy teens who are majorly obsessed with counting rib bones, and live off diet soda and ciggs, it’s crazy, and one day I wanna do something about that, but this is Singapore - the majority of boys here like their girls peuny, petite, and ..definitely not stronger (at least physically) than them. You know if there’s demand, there’d be supply.

I get really motivated by the boys. Their frat spirit, those jocks, their constant reminder to each other to eat clean, and train mean is amazing. They take me under their wings like a lil sis at times, and I love them so much. But I constantly get asked by them why don’t I train with a girlfriend. Are you kidding? I’d kill the world if I could have Jen Rankins (babe in the photo) as my training partner. To scream at me during my last rep of deadlifts, to kidnap my cookies, give me hell, and pash me in the sauna….. >;D hahaha, i kid.

No but in all seriousness, I’d love to find a girl in Singapore who loves working out… beyond them cardio machines and obsessing about bringing their weight down.. for the sake of the numbers. (Did I just sound like a boy on a dating site?)

Beyond that, I’ve been toying with the idea of using my holidays and researching on fitness training. (I KNOW RIGHT? hahahaha, who’d have thought!) This is what I breathe, day in and day out. It’s been close to a year since my breakup. One year ago, whenever I was angry, I’d key in the boy’s digits and cry my heart out, because HE made me happy. One year on, whenever I do get angry (I hardly do now, anyway), I say NOTHING, I lace up my runners, and trash the gym. because I make MYSELF happy.

Fitness is taking responsibility for your own happiness.
I’d one day love to be to the girls what Jen Rankin is to me.  :)
